Photos from 2 years of fishing there. Got everything from small fry to a trophy crucian carp at 1.116 kg. The fish are super active almost all the time — only came back empty-handed once. Caught mostly on bloodworms and maggots. In summer I'd use chocolate or raspberry flavored baits, and in fall and spring garlic, thyme, or hemp. Lots of small fish around, but there's a hole in the middle of the bridge where I'd often catch crucian carp in August. Bream is a regular visitor — there's a ton of them. Old guys say there are catfish here, at least there were 40 years ago))) Plenty of pike and perch too. Never managed to land a pike no matter how hard I tried, but perch is a different story — they're caught here pretty often. I've already seen 2 photos of perch from this canal on this site. Caught a zander in the fall while fishing for perch, which according to the old timers is also a big fish here.
