Trophy Calm

Hey, fellow anglers. Yesterday I was out fishing from about 12:30 to 5 PM. After 2 o'clock the weather really cheered me up — even though it's winter, the sun came out and actually felt warm. But what made me even happier was the bite, especially considering the fish were being pretty passive that day. I got lucky guessing the right lures for their taste — even for such a picky bite, though it took a bit. I reckon those crazy weather swings had something to do with it. Weather bounces around — anglers get stressed) The fish were hitting various metal lures — spoons and spinners. Caught this beautiful pikeperch on a spinnerbait, and then had a couple of hookups with decent pike right near the shore, but they didn't manage to spoil the mood. The pikeperch weighed 1.835, let a couple of pike go, kept this one since it was the first of the day, even though it was the smallest we landed. Amazing water body, amazing owners, and most importantly — the reason we go to that water in the first place — FISH. 😁🫡
