Description
Not much action today, all the pike are hugging the shoreline. I worked the whole island without a single bite, then on the last spot I'm dragging along the bank and BAM - a sharp, hard strike. I was so caught off guard I didn't even set the hook in time, but man that was a vicious hit. Tried working the area a bit longer but it went quiet. Didn't think twice - just ran across to the other bank and started casting the same zone from that side. Got a hit on the very first cast, and the pike absolutely crushed my copper spoon, 10 grams. But it's not a healthy fish, only 500-700 grams.
