Description

Pike bites are such an unpredictable thing. You can wait for days without a single strike, or land over a dozen in one day. This was one of those days where I was stuck waiting all day for a single bite, going through half a box of soft plastics. Got tempted by the classics — a 3' CrazyFish lure in popper color... But she's a beaut, isn't she? Sure, I'd love something bigger, but you take what you get. My hands aren't exactly magic. Got a little crazy with some aggressive fast retrieves over the grass mat.
