Description
Got to the river at 7 in the morning, it was still -3 degrees out. The fish started biting around 7:30 and stopped by 11. Had a lot of false bites, probably just small trash fish that are all over the place there. Used maggots and worms for bait—caught a few on worms, but the maggots were definitely preferred. Used Flagman black bream and Flagman carp cake for groundbait, also tried adding molasses. Ended up catching about 10 rudd in total.
