🌳 I bet every serious spinner has done this — when the fish aren't biting, you fake a strike and pretend to set the hook 🤣 Come on, admit it, you've done it too?) So I'm on my last cast at a spot where the fish haven't been touching anything. I decide to mess around and fake a bite, and I tap the rod with my finger to pretend to set the hook. The second I do that — BAM — a REAL strike from a spotted catfish! I'm so shocked I set the hook again without thinking 🤣😅 Never happened to me like that before 🎣🤣. After that I brought the pike to shore, snapped a couple pics, and let it go 🎣 It hit a mad wag mini 2.5'' in chartreuse red flake 😊 Fishing it on a golden catch flick rod rated to 4 grams was absolutely insane 🤤 Felt like I was wrestling some beast, but it turned out to be a 300-400 gram catfish 🐟
