Crankbait Strike Pro Midge 40SP
AI analysis
Low confidence
6/10
Medium effectiveness with inconsistent results; works in favorable conditions but weak on overcast days.
The Strike Pro Midge 40SP crankbait shows inconsistent performance. From two solo reports, one was exceptionally successful (5/5, catfish on a clear day), the other disappointing (2/5, rain, micro-catches). In two combo reports, the lure competed alongside other crankbaits and soft plastics with good results (4–5/5), but it's unclear how much credit belongs to this lure alone. Limited samples and mostly combined conditions (where attribution is blurred) mean confidence remains low.
Best conditions
Clear or mostly clear skies, water temperature 22–29°C, light wind (up to 14 km/h), low chance of rain.
Best target fish
Pike and perch; one successful catfish catch on a clear day.
- Best used in clear weather with warm water (22–29°C); rainy conditions yielded significantly worse results.
- Shows promising results on pike and perch — worth trying as a primary lure for these species during mid-summer to early-fall periods.
- Pairs effectively with soft plastics during spinning sessions — alternate between them to optimize active fish location.
Small data set (only 4 reports total, 2 solo); half the reports are combined, making clear attribution of success difficult. Seasonal coverage is limited (August–September). Weather shows strong influence on results, so conclusions about the lure itself remain preliminary.
