Medium confidence
7/10
This lure demonstrates enhanced effectiveness in autumn months at moderate temperatures (23–29 °C), with an average rating of 4.6/5 across an expanded sample — reliable for perch and pike-perch under consistent bite conditions
After analyzing 13 solo reports and 1 combo report (the latter weighted lighter due to competition with another lure of the same size), Crazy Fish Polaris 1.8" shows consistent effectiveness. A new batch of 4 September solo reports delivered 4–5/5 ratings on perch and pike-perch at temperatures of 23–29 °C and predominantly cloudy weather. The combo report (saltwater, 5/5) indicates versatility, but remains anecdotal. The lure clearly performs better in mid-to-late September than in July–August
Best conditions
September, partly cloudy to mostly clear skies, water temperature 22–29 °C, moderate wind (4–9 km/h), 13 °C daily range; hot days (32 °C) and clear conditions showed worse results in July
Best target fish
Perch and pike-perch as primary targets; also effective on roach and saltwater species (horse mackerel, garfish) in coastal conditions
- Works best in mid-to-late September at temperatures 22–29 °C and partly cloudy conditions — planning sessions around these parameters yields consistent 4–5/5 results
- Early morning sessions (around 5:30–6:30 AM) showed active strikes; bites lasted 30–40 minutes under optimal conditions
- The lure demonstrates versatility in saltwater settings, but core effectiveness remains in freshwater systems targeting perch and pike-perch
Sample size is still limited (13 solo, 1 combo), with heavy concentration in one month (September). No data for winter, early spring, and late autumn limits understanding of the full annual cycle. One saltwater report (combo) competes with another lure from the same manufacturer, weakening its attribution. Reliability conclusions outside September remain preliminary
