Low confidence
6/10
Consistently effective groundbait for bottom fishing in autumn; average rating 4.6/5 across all reports, but data remains predominantly in combo format, limiting confidence in independent contribution.
Three new solo reports (ratings 4/5, 5/5, 4/5, average 4.3/5) improve the profile, but overall statistics remain dominated by combo formats (7 of 11 reports). All new reports are solo assessments of bait role (no competing baits), providing more direct attribution; however, all use maggot or boilie as hookbait, so success depends on synergy. Groundbait consistently works in autumn with overcast weather, but its independent contribution to success remains partially unclear.
Best conditions
September in overcast conditions with moderate wind (9–19 km/h); active bites observed from early morning (6:40–9:20), especially during rainy conditions (68–73% precipitation probability).
Best target fish
Bream, roach, silver bream, bleak, chub — bottom-feeding species in river fishing; shows results across diverse species combinations.
- Use Roach Black in September under overcast conditions with active fish — shows consistent early morning bites.
- Works best paired with maggot as hookbait on bottom rigs; vary maggot count by time of day (2–3 in morning, 5 in evening).
- Effective for mixed species (bream, silver bream, bleak) in river fishing in moderate wind.
All 7 reports in the expanded database (3 solo + 4 previous) remain combo formats within the overall earlier base (10 of 11 reports). Low confidence due to small solo sample (4 reports, 3 new). All reports from September — no data from other seasons. Cannot isolate groundbait effect from hookbait choice (maggot/boilie) and fish species impact on session success.
