Stryi River. Zarichchia

Continuing the hunt for asp. Still no luck, but I've made some progress) I saw not just his rises but the fish itself☝️ somewhere nearby a real torpedo. It came out to the shallows for fry right next to me, like eight meters away. I was absolutely stunned. The water in the Stryi is crystal clear. Polarized glasses work perfectly. And most importantly there were strikes. Three. on a Kukri spoon by Daig. but in the heat of the quick recast I sent it to the horizon. got one bite. doesn't respond to other lures. 🤷 but that's not all. whoever read this far will find out what these creatures are in the photo. In the photo is a Ukrainian lamprey and a gudgeon. Everyone knows the gudgeon (piskur). The lamprey is a rare sight. You can meet them during spawning in clean waters rich in oxygen and good current. it turns out these creatures survived the dinosaurs. they have a sucker instead of a mouth, no bones no fins only a tail. they grow in the ground for 5-6 years looking like worms, then transform into adults like the ones in the photo. they spawn and after spawning head to Valhalla.
