Came to the water early in the morning and was pretty disappointed at first - most of the pond was overgrown with algae. But I kept at it, trying different baits anyway.
After switching to a Jaxon spinner, managed to hook a pike right under the footbridge. It was quite a battle - the pike kept heading for the reeds and back under the bridge. But after a long fight, I finally got her onto the bank.
Result - a pike weighing 1.83 kg, my first trophy of 2026!
