Had a good spin fishing session today. Initially planned to catch a predator, and I finally got one - a pike, about 300 grams, fell for a Mepps spoon. But it got away right at the shore, which was quite the thrill. Around 12:00 I noticed crucian carp moving in the upper water layers, so I decided to try my luck with a popper. The crucians are all different but look similar to each other, they feel great on the bite, but getting them to take the lure isn't easy. The crucians eventually headed back into the water.
