Institute Lake

So here's today's first fishing session with my new Favorite Rapid 692ml (3-14g) spinning rod: I fished from 12:30 to 15:50, and got 4 bites the whole time. The first bite happened near the shore in some snags and a pike of about 500g took it, but not aggressively, so it stayed right at the edge and when I dragged it to shore it broke off. After that, moving 5 meters to the left, I caught another one on the 2nd cast at 190 grams (pics 1-2) and this one didn't get away. After walking around I got another bite in a different part of the lake, but didn't land it because it was very cautious. Coming back after ~30 min to the spot where the 500g pike bit, I made a cast right there, and immediately in the same spot that same pike of about 500 grams bit again, it took the lure with fluorocarbon (0.2 mm) in its mouth, but I was saved by the fact it was near shore so I managed to lift it right away. When I lifted it out it immediately cut the fluorocarbon and then I weighed it and it was 450 grams (pics 3-4). By the way, that pike didn't have a full belly anymore, so I think it's already started spawning a bit, because before there weren't bites like this at all, but the pike is still around and pretty passive, though it's possible to catch them)) Turned out to be a great fishing session!
