«Crankbaits vs Microjig» Fishing therapy😉 This fishing trip turned out to be special. Well, first of all – I met up with my friend – a fishing expert in the predatory fish department at the "Ibis" store, Maksym Diachek. Maksym and I had been planning to fish for a long time in the place where we spent our childhood. Back then, we didn't know each other, but the fishing was pretty good. Each of us had our own proven spots, our own fishing techniques and secrets about lures, retrieves and locations. One body of water, but such different approaches to fishing in those places. And so, today we conducted this fishing session in a friendly atmosphere: we shot, in my opinion, an interesting film that will be coming out very soon on my YouTube channel - DShFishing. Maksym chose microjig fishing for himself and various small lures. I fished mostly on 110-sized crankbaits. We agreed on a so-called friendly battle) We started fishing at 10:00 and finished at 17:00 Things worked well for me: ZipBaits Orbit 110 510R, as well as OSP Varuna 110 SF The first crankbait brought me two pike-perch and something big. Unfortunately, I managed to hold it for a bit, and.... the fish got away, leaving me with a huge scale on the hook as a souvenir. The second crankbait brought me a small pike, a bit bigger than the crankbait...) At the end I tried fishing with a Jackson Metal Stay Fall 10.5g jig, and I managed to convince a small pike-perch. My setup: Rod – St.Croix Legend elite es70mhf2 3/8-3/4 10.5 - 21.5 Reel – Daiwa Prorex 4000LT Line – Daiwa Moretan 1.2 Leader – Daiwa Prorex TITANIUM WIRE LEADER 30 cm 12kg Max's setup: Rod – Favorite Impulse TZ NEW IMPTZ-732L-S 2.20m 2-10g Ex-Fast Line – YGK X4 Upgrade #0.4 Select Easy Shad 3" Jig head Jigger Tail spinner Savage Gear Fat Tail Spin Tail spinner Select Turbo-II Maksym showed decent results. He was fishing with Easy Shad 3, 2g jig head. Most of the bites happened in the water column. Steady retrieve. Both pike-perch and small pike were biting. Also, Maksym managed to convince two pike on tail spinners. In this battle, friendship won, of course, but... to be honest, victory went to Maksym Diachek! All the fish were photographed and released, but what we took with us – these were pleasant moments that will never happen again!
