Stipra River

One of the toughest fishing trips this year. The plan was to catch perch at one of two ponds. I showed up at the first one and after two hours of fishing and constantly switching baits, getting zero bites, I realized I wasn't going to crack the code on this pond today and convince the fish to bite. So I decide to move to the other pond, which also has perch, and start searching the new water. But unfortunately, this water didn't yield any bites either, just like the first one. After 4 hours of trying to find perch, I decide to spend one more hour trying my luck on the river, specifically chub on micro jigs. When I get to the spot I planned to fish, I immediately set up a bait I'd already tested in winter - a 1.1 inch tantu on a 1 gram weight in brown. And after 15-20 minutes of fishing, it happens - what I was hoping for. A chub bite, which made me really happy since it was the first bite of the whole trip. And after a pretty decent fight, considering it's a passive fish, I manage to drag it to shore for some photos, after which it swam back to its natural habitat. But unfortunately, that chub ended the fishing session, because after it there were no more productive bites, just one more false strike. Still, in my opinion, even though the fishing was tough, it turned out successful, because I managed to avoid a total shutout by the end.
