Southern Bug

Hey, made a trip out here for some fishing in Letychiv, at "Berizki" — man, what a beautiful spot! The place is absolutely killer: spacious, huge banks, tons of spots. You can chill out with your rods nice and easy, or just kick back like a normal person, nobody's breathing down your neck. The fish situation turned out to be interesting, they've got their own unique schedule these days. The real party is at night — the bites just don't stop, fish are maxed out on activity. But come morning everything changes: they all move right up to the bank and start rubbing in the weeds, so they completely ignore the bait — you might as well not even try. Closer to evening they start drifting back out to deeper water, and that's when the first evening bites show up. I brought the classics for bait — worms and maggots. You can fish both, but today the local fish were clearly turning their nose up and voting for maggots — they were way more aggressive on those. Just my two cents: if you're heading out there anytime soon, definitely stay the night — you won't regret it. Sure, watching the fish literally walking around at your feet right by the bank in the morning is cool, but that night vibe and the quiet all around — that's something special. Bottom line, cleared my head and got some solid rest. Good luck out there!
