Matviivska Cove

Spent a couple hours today on the shore of Matviivska Cove. Was planning to catch some perch (there's usually plenty of them here), but things didn't go as planned. The perch weren't interested in the FishUP Tanta 2" at all. Only after downsizing to 1.5" was I able to tempt a couple of small ones. Got a nice bonus though — a chub hit my SV Fishing Individ spoon in silver. As for the second session — that was last evening on the new embankment. Fished from 9 PM to 11:30 PM, but never did hook into a night pike-perch. Used these lures: • Zip Baits Rigge 56SP • Pontoon 21 CrackJack 58SP-SR • Pontoon 21 CrackJack 58SP-MR • Jackall Squad Minnow 65SP • Jackall Tiny Fry 50SP • Megabass X-80 Jr. Interestingly, there was plenty of baitfish near the shore, but I didn't hear those characteristic pike-perch strikes. Now I'm waiting for the next night session — maybe that one will be the ticket.
