So here's today's first outing with my new Favorite Rapid 692ml (3-14g) spinning rod: Fished from 12:30 to 15:50, got 4 bites total. First bite was near the shore in some snags — a pike around 500g hit, but not aggressively. It sat right at the edge and when I brought it to shore it broke free. After moving 5 meters to the left, I landed another one on my second cast — 190 grams (photos 1-2), this one stayed on. Walked around and got another bite elsewhere in the lake, but didn't hook it — was too cautious. Came back to that same spot after about 30 minutes where the half-kilo pike bit. Cast right there and immediately the same pike hits again, looked like about 500 grams. It took the fluorocarbon (0.2 mm) in its mouth, but it was right by the shore so I managed to lift it out fast. When I brought it up it immediately cut through the fluoro and then I weighed it — 450 grams (photos 3-4). By the way, this pike and another one I saw didn't have roe bellies anymore, so I'm thinking it's starting to spawn a bit. Never seen this many bites before though, the pike are still here and pretty sluggish, but definitely catchable)) Turned out to be a solid session! Good luck to everyone!!!
