A lake where they're biting 😅

Decided to go fishing on a whim 😅 Left at 06:00 since the drive is only 10 minutes! By 07:10 all the tip-ups were set! First strike was at 07:50, weight 1.5 kg! Bites came in pairs or every 15 minutes, I'd say about 15-20 were blank runs.. Almost always the live bait stayed in place! Don't really understand why, since the tip-ups are made the old-school way 😅 After lunch there was nothing biting at all, only caught 1 pike around 15:00 and headed home! Used small crucian carp as bait. Leaders made from fluorocarbon 0.6 mm and 30-40 cm long! 5 gram sinker) And one more thing I wanted to say, don't cheap out on treble hooks, today I got a pike around 2 kg (3 photo) with a broken hook and while I was getting it out of its mouth another one snapped 🤷‍♂️ good thing it wasn't a trophy or I might've lost it) We froze... thin ice... but had a great time! NHNL🤝
