Lakes near Otyniya village

Got to the water at 5:30 PM to fish feeder/flat hoping for carp or Amur (or in my wildest dreams, grass carp) At 7 PM like clockwork pike started chasing fry and I got up from my comfy chair and decided to try my luck catching one of these fish. 2-3 casts of a spinner - bite (thought I snagged weeds so didn't set the hook properly) and 2 meters from my feet the fish got away… bummer but promising so after spending 2.5 hours casting around the water I managed to catch 7 pike (+2 that got away) and 1 catfish, all on 1 spinner and a small light Select spinning rod with a thousand reel. The emotions from bigger fish on this rod are insane (especially the catfish), any fish bends the rod and lets you feel the weight. Kept most of them in a net, released some right away cause I was too lazy to carry them to the spot. The owner and gamekeeper ask to take all the predators but I'm not a savage to take small pike + in 2 years I haven't taken a single fish from this water. This time I had to keep 2 pike and a catfish though. The pike went to my feeder fishing buddy's dinner and the catfish I gave to a random gamekeeper at ATB😅 but that's another story. To wrap up I gotta say I was surprised by such aggressive predator activity considering it's been over a week of +50 degrees in the sun (in the shade +35-38) and today was no exception, it was blazing hot even by the water and the water itself despite the decent size of the lake was warm like fresh milk.
