Today we decided to take the spinning rods out and here's what we got. We were fishing with some solid "light universals" up to 15, and up to 10 grams Crazy Fish Perfect Jig CFPJ-76-L-T, and Crazy Fish Perfect Jig CFPJ-72-L-T The baits that worked were the Fishup Tanta 1.5" #036 Caramel/Green & Black worms, rigged on a disassembled tungsten chebburashka 1.5 gr. My buddy was fishing with the same bait, but with lead, and the jig rig got way fewer bites! I was really hoping for perch on a split shot rig! The bites were happening right at the edge of the reed line - the weeds! Some were just sitting, some came with actual bites! We brought lights thinking the perch had started spawning and there'd be some small pike that aren't taking part in the spawn. But there wasn't any at all. Perch any day now will stop biting too because they're already bursting with roe. The water body we were fishing is our city lake. So to speak, our home testing ground) All fish were released because fish isn't food! Fish is a friend! Release your fish, protect nature😉
