Turjanka River

Hey everyone, here's my report for today. So I texted Dmitro yesterday and we started chatting. He told me about winter grayling, figured that could be plan B. Found a single fly that Taras gave me back in summer, it was just lying around. Grabbed 0.5g tungsten and rigged it up. Meanwhile plan A was a bunch of jigheads from 3-5g with different baits — flappers, wagons, swings... Got to the river, started casting and realized things looked rough. Spent 30 min searching for grayling and caught my first one today. Sun came up and I ripped off the fly, haha. Came to this white boulder, pulled out another grayling, figured our boulder works too. Then a cast, the boulder, size 12 hook, 1.23 fluorocarbon diameter, parked a 200g perch here) And now the evening bite kicks off — jigheads, flappers, fusion, and we're packing 10+ "watermelons" in 15 min) That's when I realized I needed thicker fluorocarbon, switched to 0.4 or so. The perch went quiet but then this toothy one absolutely crushed the flapper. The bank was super high, the pike was literally reeling me instead of the other way around, haha Then caught some more grayling on a white 1.6 mini shad (love these two lures, so that's what I use) Hope I managed to squeeze this whole story into one report) Thanks for the likes and comments:) Almost forgot about Vasya, my cat who walked along as my lucky charm and kept stealing my fish — the only poacher I caught today, honestly not the worst thing. All my catch went back to the water except what Vasya took, so no responsibility there) Everyone tight lines and big bites!)
